more info Theatre World Awards is an organization that has become near and dear to my heart. I started working with them at their annual event 10 years ago and offered my design services for their website. They recently changed web engines and needed the content to be laid out again. I chose to focus on showing you one page layout that I favor, the homepage. On the previous website, the recipients were just listed on a interior page of the site with no headshots. I thought that a face may be just as recognizable, or more so with headshots. Additionally, having photos makes the site more visually appealing. I also thought that the honorees themselves may view the page and thus wanted to make sure we paid tribute to them in a nice way.
