more info I was tasked with designing the program for Maria Friedman’s concert event at the Hudson Theatre. This was exciting because it was my first full program I was designing from scratch and it was also the first time I was designing a program for an event in a broadway theater.

I formed the design for the cover using artwork files provided to me for the website. I spotted colors in the artwork of Maria and used them for the text headers throughout the program. One thing I learned from this experience was how important it was to create a style in the headers that would remain consistent in the program. The reason being that the content tends to change so much and the length is somewhat unknown, so these styles act like a support to guide the viewer through.
